The Long-Term Family Survival Course is based on lessons from John Lahan, an ex-military who served in Afghanistan for 5 years. After hurricane Katrina, he returned to his home in New Orleans and was shocked by the damage he saw there. It caused him to become obsessed with survivalism and eventually he started a survival training school where he teaches everything he knows.
